Basic Japanese Power-Up
Learn basic phrases, the all important self introduction, and other essentials for a quick trip to Japan or to join the beginning Japanese 1 class.
Did you miss the New Year term and the Spring Term Japanese 1 class sign up? Speed through Japanese 1 (Step 1 and Step 2) and get ready for Japanese 1 (Step 3). You will be ready to start Japanese 1 in the Fall Term.
Accompany this course with the Hiragana and Katakana Power- Ups, too.

Hiragana Power-Up
For beginners and those needing a refresher on reading and writing hiragana - this fun and hands-on 2 hour course will strengthen your reading and writing skills in the hiragana syllabary. Learn the history, importance, and how to use a Japanese keyboard.

Katakana Power-Up
For beginners, reluctant learners :-), and those needing a refresher - this 2 hour course will strengthen your reading and writing skills in the katakana syllabary. Katakana is a key to successful exploration of modern Japan - menus, manga, and the fun world of onomatopoeia! You will learn to write and type your name in katakana, too!
