Fumiko Futamura 先生

Dr. Fumiko Futamura is the John H. Duncan Chair and Professor of Mathematics at Southwestern University, and is on the Board of Directors at JASGA. She explores the rich connections between mathematics and the arts in her research and teaching. Specifically related to Japanese culture, she has given a talk at JASGA on fractals in Ukiyo-e, taught workshops on the mathematics of origami and kusudamas, and explored the mathematics of wagara patterns with her Explorations in Math class.
